SyNERGY MED 2024

The 3rd International Conference on Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Area

21-23 October 2024

Limassol, Cyprus

The 3rd International Conference on Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Area aims to address the vast technological changes in the areas of renewable energy, smart grid technologies, grid integration, low-carbon buildings and energy communities, energy policy, cybersecurity, and social science issues. In this respect, it will substantively build upon the previous two conferences, in service of delivering a major energy platform in the region.

SyNERGY MED 2024 will focus on key topics of interest to the Energy Challenges in the Mediterranean area, providing a forum for in-depth, solution-oriented discussion among researchers, policymakers, regional and local authorities, renewable energy clusters, and other main actors/stakeholders in the energy transition underway.

The 2024 edition of the Conference is being organised by the University of Cyprus, with the support of the PHAETHON Centre of Excellence, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Western Macedonia, and the University of Cagliari. As in previous years, the Conference is benefitting from technical sponsorship by the IEEE Power & Energy Society, while the scientific quality is strengthened by the launch of new special issues in the leading journals of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy Grids and Networks.
