SyNERGY MED 2024 will focus on topics of interest to the Energy Challenges in the Mediterranean area, covering all aspects of technology innovations in renewable energy, smart grid technologies, integration of renewable energy sources and energy storage technologies, low-carbon buildings, and energy communities. The Conference thematic areas also encompass the cybersecurity and data management challenges in smart grid implementations, along with the policies, regulations, and financial models in promoting  the transition to renewable energy and smart grids. Finally, the social and economic implications of transitioning to renewable energy and smart grids will also be addressed as part of the Conference thematic areas.

All submitted papers will undergo a peer review process by international reviewers. Following their presentation accepte papers will be published in the Conference proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Area, SyNERGY MED 2024.

Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore, subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.

Scientific journal publications

The Scientific Advisory Committee will select high quality papers for each thematic area that will be invited to be peer reviewed for possible publication in scientific journals. These publications will be in addition to the publication in the Conference Proceedings of SyNERGY MED 2024.

A selected set of highly qualified papers presented at the Conference will be proposed to the Renewable Energy Journal -Impact Factor 8.7, CiteScore 16.1.

Authors of the papers whose contents are within the main scopes of the international journal will be invited to prepare and submit the extended version of their paper for review.
